So if possible, please add a "pause" feature i'd be glad if there will be one thanks _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Hello everybody, my name is Dave, and in my emulator, Alt-P pauses the game! Always has, always will, that's why it's in that little text file which comes with the emulator! ---------- Oops x 100: I've gone and done it again haven't I? I've got this horrible feeling that that virus disguised at Nebulus was actually the actual author trying to send a beta. It's still too risky to run the .exe, but don't worry I'll wait for the official release: I'm sure it'll be great! The driver script system will be great. But anyway. I'm very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very sorry for thinking it was a virus... But when someone you don't know sends you an .exe you just can't run it because there's always a chance it is. Yes I'm far too cautious, but when so many people out there seem to hate you, you have to be, or you computer will be crippled by viruses. Sorry! I plead insanity from all the lamer-mail... 1st April 2001 Got back from vacation to a mountain of e-mail asking for XMen vs Street Fighter. Terrific. And it's still coming in now, I wish people would just shut up. It'll be out when it's added. It's not added yet so it's not out. CPS2MAME32 and Nebula give me incredibly slow performance, as I'm sure they do many people. Final Burn is without a doubt the best emulator for CPS2, and for some of us the ONLY emulator we can use. If you decide to quit releasing new versions, is there any way to modify Final Burn to accept new roms without knowing how to code? -Nick From: carmaggedom@zipmail.com.br X-Authentication-Warning: larry.ztnet.com: Host ww111.zipmail.com.br [200.187.242.21] claimed to be www.zipmail.com.br Received: by www.zipmail.com.br (5.5.021) id 3AB7C24500174A34 for dave@finalburn.com; Sun, 1 Apr 2001 09:52:34 -0300 Message-ID: <3AC5E17A0000109E@www.zipmail.com.br> Date: Sun, 1 Apr 2001 09:52:33 -0300 Subject: X-mem vs sf??? To which I sent a suitably offensive reply of course. People just keep moaning don't they? To people who are saying right now: "Well I mean they were just asking a question, what so wrong with that," the answer is that thousands of people use Final Burn, and everyone wants to know when a new version is out. THAT'S WHAT THE WEB-SITE IS FOR. If everyone e-mailled me, my e-mail would die a horrible death. So the smart people come to the web-site and say "oh look, there's no new version of Final Burn, maybe Dave hasn't had time yet". The stupid people go "oh look, there's no new version of Final Burn... I know maybe if I annoy Dave with enough e-mail telling him to make one, he'll be really happy with us, and make one!". The e-mail address is so that people can give me useful information (like Malice and his new region switches!!). Writing to say 'please come out with a new version of final burn to support xmvsf' is just pointless and really annoying, because (now that I'm back) I'm fully aware that the xor is out (I had to wade through all the crap to find Raz's mail of course), and will add it when I add it. I mean what is the point of e-mailling me telling me to add it? It seems, after reading it, that he's really obsessed with emails asking for support of games that arent decrypted yet and mails asking him why there's no pause function (allthough there is anyway). Anyway, Dave seems to really really like such mail and I think he indicated that the more mail like this he recieves, the harder he will work on Final Burn. I was gonna mail him about these things just to be nice, but my heart's just not in it. =) -T- IP: Logged Krool 3L33T Member posted 04-02-2001 01:20 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hehehe, in his FAQ he forgot one very important question : why is dave such a stuck up dumbass ? : any takers there ? and as for finalburn vs nebula... well, nebula wins hands down on gui, too bad as soon as i click on a game the fucking piece of shit quits! i dont get it... anyone ? and finalburn DOESNT support all supportable versions... why do we have xors just to play american games dayvee ? hmmmm... hail the flag english loving patriot. not only americans use finalburn! bah... maybe i should email ? K kiss my ass...wee ooh wee ooh wee ooh IP: Logged Brad 3L33T Member posted 04-02-2001 02:32 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah I have a similiar problem with Nebula. Very nice GUI although I'd prefer it windowed but as soon as I start a game I just get a blank screen. Still its early days yet and only a first release so I have high hopes for that one. I bored with Flaymee Dayvee. He started out with a really nice emulator and lost track. Now he's just showed himself to be a twat! Brad IP: Logged Cano 3L33T Member posted 04-02-2001 07:20 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't know why you guys have been having problems with Nebula, but it worked as advertized on my machine ( P3 700, DirectX 8.0a ), I'm not too fond of the "NeoRageX-like" GUI, but I guess that it's better than the barely-there GUI of FinalBurp, and the format for adding new games is kinda nice ( altough you need to know exactly which rom file is which, be it Sound, GFX, etc. ) All in all, a very promising emu... fun fact: even tho I'm from a spanish-speaking country, I usually read the english read-me file of emus like ePSXe & Nebula! Weird... Cano Pinchis españoles de mierda! ( Fucking pieces of shit spaniards! ) IP: Logged Krool 3L33T Member posted 04-03-2001 03:11 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- cps2 roms 01-02 = qsound z80 code 03-10 = 68000 code 11-12 = qsound samples 13-20 = graphics thats all you really need to know but anyway, yeah, i hope nebula fixes some of this in the future. by the way, i was using neoragex today for old times sake... looks similar but you cant call an outline like that (c) to neoragex :\ and neoragex is very fast still... faster than finalbrun hehehhe K Found some more stuff further on talking about censorship on the rg board: well looks like they deleted the thread started where someone decided to speak his mind about everybodys favorite emu author i think that if you are going to delete a set of posts that talk bad about someone then you also need to delete the ones that talk good about someone Yeah Lucifer ... Dayvee is their goldenchild! (was the word 'shower' supposed to be in there). I think Dayvee has made his bed and now he has to lie in it. It's not the public's fault that dayvee acted the way he did. And who can blame ppl for finally getting the attitude that Dayvee should just shut up and go away - emu or not?? I praised the guy at first for making a great product ... he has an early email of support and thanks form me ... and he never recieved any hate mail from me either. Allthough , I thought of mailing him a copy of CPS-TOO-LAME. I decided not to since he had allready downloaded it and was allegedly very much pleased with the song. I guess he really liked it and burned a whole ream of CD's of that song repeated over and over. Amazing the things my spy bir ... ehrm, my friends tell me. Kai said (while purposefully doing a very good impression of Atila): "It's our site, we'll let you say what we want you to say." I believe this is the general mentality ... yes. In fact, even if it's not at their site, they seem to believe that they can make ppl say what they want them to say at their own sites and messageboards too. That's what pisses me off. I dunno how people can be so assanine! -Toxic- Yep, if what they say is true, then the situation is even worse than it was at the retrogames board, and the e-mails confirm it. I'm sorry everyone (all real emulation fans that is), but this was meant to be recreational and now it's not: it's just people being shit.
