Hovoï¿½ï¿½ Legolas:
Autori novï¿½ho emulï¿½toru nazvanï¿½ho Project 64 nie sï¿½ na scï¿½ne novï¿½ï¿½ikovia. Zilmar je autorom Zilmar's plugin specification ktorï¿½ momentï¿½lne podporujï¿½ takmer vï¿½etky sï¿½ï¿½astnï¿½ emulï¿½tory a Jabo je autorom veï¿½mi kvalitnï¿½ho grafickï¿½ho pluginu. Na novom emulï¿½tore v tichosti pracovali niekoï¿½ko rokov a odviedli naozaj kvalitnï¿½ prï¿½cu. Autori sa snaï¿½ili eï¿½te pred sprï¿½stupnenï¿½m prvej verzii verejnosti doladiï¿½ vï¿½etky detaily, preto emulï¿½tor obsahuje prehï¿½adnï¿½ GUI s moï¿½nosï¿½ou konfigurï¿½cie vï¿½etkï¿½ch svojï¿½ch ï¿½astï¿½.
V emulï¿½tore je pouï¿½itï¿½ch niekoï¿½ko nezvyï¿½ajnï¿½ch rieï¿½enï¿½ ako je naprï¿½klad "middlelevel" emulï¿½cia zvuku tj. nieï¿½o medzi Highlevel UltraHLE a lowlevel, prï¿½padne moï¿½nosï¿½ vybraï¿½ si medzi statickï¿½m (kompatibilnejï¿½ï¿½m avï¿½ak pomalï¿½ï¿½m) a dynamickï¿½m (rï¿½chlejï¿½ï¿½m) jadrom emulï¿½tora.
ï¿½plne geniï¿½lne je vyrieï¿½enï¿½ moï¿½nosï¿½ ukladanï¿½ pozï¿½ciï¿½ kedy okrem klasickï¿½ho ukladania v hre (ï¿½no podporuje aj FlashRam tj. Zelda 2 behï¿½ fantasticky:), umoï¿½nuje ukladaï¿½ aj okamï¿½itï¿½ stav emulï¿½tora a to pre kaï¿½dï¿½ hru aï¿½ do 10 rï¿½znych slotov medzi ktorï¿½mi sa prepï¿½na pomocou ï¿½ï¿½sel na klï¿½vesnici. (BTW v readme.txt nie je o prepinani slotov ani slovo :)
Hovoï¿½ï¿½ Jirka Panï¿½ï¿½ek:
Emulï¿½tor Project64 je vï¿½ce hardwarovï¿½ nï¿½roï¿½nï¿½jï¿½ï¿½ neï¿½ Ultra HLE (doporuï¿½en je procesor PIII 600 MHz). V nastavenï¿½ je moï¿½nï¿½ nastavit dvï¿½ moï¿½nï¿½ API a to OpenGL plugin a D3D plugin, pï¿½iï¿½emï¿½ OpenGL plugin vykazoval mnoho chyb v zobrazenï¿½ (prolï¿½nï¿½nï¿½ polygonu, chybï¿½jï¿½cï¿½ textury atd.). Zobrazenï¿½ pod D3D bylo vcelku bezproblï¿½movï¿½. Ve hï¿½e Thï¿½ Legend of Zelda OOT pod D3D (pod OpenGL se hra vï¿½bec nerozjede neboï¿½ ROMka pouï¿½ï¿½vï¿½ nï¿½jakï¿½ jinï¿½ microcode) byl u defaultniho nastavenï¿½ problï¿½m se zobrazenï¿½m textur. Po pï¿½epnutï¿½ externï¿½ho zpracovï¿½nï¿½ na internï¿½  pï¿½ï¿½mo v nastavenï¿½ grafickï¿½ho zobrazenï¿½ v mï¿½nu hry byl problï¿½m odstranï¿½n. Ve srovnï¿½nï¿½ s Ultra HLE si nebylo moï¿½nï¿½ nevï¿½imnout, ï¿½e Project64 mï¿½l kvalitnï¿½jï¿½ï¿½ obraz  napï¿½. uï¿½ hned v ï¿½vodu hry, kdy se zobrazï¿½ logo Nitenda bylo toto logo nï¿½dhernï¿½ barevnï¿½. Pï¿½ï¿½mo ve hï¿½e pod 32bitovï¿½m zobrazenï¿½m jsem si hned vï¿½iml, ï¿½e kaï¿½dï¿½ "skï¿½ï¿½tek" mï¿½l jinak zbarvenou "svï¿½tluï¿½ku", pï¿½iï¿½emï¿½ pod Ultra HLE mï¿½li vï¿½ichni svï¿½tluï¿½ky stejnï¿½ zbarvenï¿½. Navï¿½c svï¿½tluï¿½ka pod Project 64 vrhï¿½ coronu. UltraHLE mï¿½ zase lepï¿½ï¿½ mapovï¿½nï¿½ textur.
Co se tï¿½ï¿½e ozvuï¿½enï¿½  zvuk se ï¿½asto trhï¿½. Pï¿½ehrï¿½vï¿½nï¿½ zvuku nenï¿½ souvislï¿½. Zde Ultra HLE naprosto vï¿½tï¿½zi. Pokusil jsem se pouï¿½ï¿½t i audio plugin, na kterï¿½ byl odkaz v souvislosti s emulï¿½torem Deadalus na emulators.cz a Project64 tento plugin podporoval a subjektivnï¿½ se mi zdï¿½lo, ï¿½e zvuk mï¿½nï¿½ zadrhï¿½val. Samozï¿½ejmï¿½ se ukï¿½zalo jako nejlepï¿½ï¿½, nastavit buffer na maximum.
Savovani mï¿½ Project64 udï¿½lanï¿½ naprosto perfektnï¿½. Napï¿½. i po aktivaci poloï¿½ky SAVE v menu programu se v samotnï¿½ hï¿½e dostaneme do savovaciho menu, coï¿½ u Ultra HLE vï¿½bec nefungovalo. Obnovenï¿½ hry bylo takï¿½ bez problï¿½mu.
Nastavenï¿½ gamepadu je takï¿½ velmi dobï¿½e provedenï¿½. Moï¿½nï¿½ nejlepï¿½ï¿½ jakï¿½ jsem vidï¿½l u emulï¿½toru pro Nitendo64.
Dobï¿½e jsou takï¿½ provedena nastavenï¿½ pro jednotlivï¿½ hry, kterï¿½ Project64 podporuje. V adresï¿½ï¿½i je soubor project64.ini jsou defaultni doporuï¿½enï¿½ nastavenï¿½, kterï¿½ se vï¿½dy automaticky pï¿½episujï¿½ do nastavenï¿½ ve volbï¿½ch (napï¿½. velikost pamï¿½ti, zpï¿½sob pouï¿½itï¿½ pamï¿½ti atd.).
Moï¿½nï¿½ problï¿½my : Pod D3D se mi stalo, ï¿½e po chybnï¿½m nastavenï¿½ mi hra zatuhlï¿½ a nepodaï¿½ilo se mi jiï¿½ program spustit s inicializaci D3D. Nepomohl ani restart. Po chvï¿½li hledï¿½nï¿½ jsem v registrech vyhledal odkazy na N64 a vymazal patï¿½iï¿½nï¿½ grafickï¿½ nastavenï¿½. Pak jiï¿½ bylo vï¿½e v poï¿½ï¿½dku.
Celkovï¿½ resumï¿½  Celkovï¿½ dojem je velmi kladnï¿½. ï¿½koda jen toho mï¿½rnï¿½ho trhï¿½nï¿½ pï¿½i pï¿½ehrï¿½vï¿½nï¿½ zvuku. Po grafickï¿½ strï¿½nce je dojem lepï¿½ï¿½ neï¿½ u UltraHLE, ale z pohledu na celkovï¿½ dojem vï¿½etnï¿½ zvuku je UltraHLE s OpenGL wrapperem a s aktivovanï¿½m fullscrean antialiasingem 2x stï¿½le lepï¿½ï¿½.

Vï¿½bec prvnï¿½ opravdickï¿½ N64 emulï¿½tor, kterï¿½ byl schopen spustit komerï¿½nï¿½ hry. Emuluje i zvuk, vyï¿½aduje k akceptovatelnï¿½ rychlosti libovolnï¿½ PII. Funguje ovï¿½em pouze pï¿½es Glide (tj. 3D VooDoo karty), takï¿½e pro jeho provozovï¿½nï¿½ na jinï¿½ 3D kartï¿½ musï¿½te pouï¿½ï¿½t Glide wrappery. Pï¿½estoï¿½e pï¿½vodnï¿½ verze podporovala jen 17 her, pomocï¿½ pouhï¿½ch modifikacï¿½ defaultnï¿½ho INI souboru rï¿½znï¿½ koumï¿½ci vytï¿½hli podporu aï¿½ na souï¿½asnï¿½ch cca 60 plnï¿½ hratelnï¿½ch. Jinï¿½ neï¿½ ï¿½vodnï¿½ verze programu totiï¿½ jeï¿½tï¿½ nevyï¿½la  rozruch, kterï¿½ se po jejï¿½m vydï¿½nï¿½ tehdy rozpoutal, totiï¿½ zapï¿½ï¿½ï¿½il zruï¿½enï¿½ celï¿½ho projektu po nï¿½kolika mï¿½lo hodinï¿½ch... V souï¿½asnosti, kdy uï¿½ N64 emuluje vï¿½ce programu, se ï¿½dajnï¿½ na programu zaï¿½alo znovu pracovat.

Podle compatiblity listu v nï¿½m bï¿½ï¿½ uspokojivï¿½ 36 her z 89 testovanï¿½ch  pravdï¿½podobnï¿½ to ale bude vï¿½c, protoï¿½e 89 vyzkouï¿½enï¿½ch je opravdu malï¿½ ï¿½ï¿½slo. Hranice hratelnosti je ovï¿½em kï¿½ehkï¿½. V rychlosti jsem z IRC stahnul Wave Race, Super Smash Brothers a Harvest Moon, a rozhodnï¿½ bych ani jednu za "playable" neoznaï¿½il. Navï¿½c ani framerate na PIII/600MHz nebylo nijak oslnivï¿½, odhadem tak 20fps. Verdikt  zatï¿½m ï¿½ï¿½dnï¿½ zï¿½zrak, ale vyplatï¿½ se nepouï¿½tï¿½t ho z oï¿½ï¿½.
