Commodore AMIGA je legenda sama. Byl (teï¿½ se zarputilï¿½ Amigisti asi trochu rozï¿½ï¿½lili, ï¿½e jsem pouï¿½il minulï¿½ho ï¿½asu) to fantastickï¿½ poï¿½ï¿½taï¿½ a kdo vï¿½, tï¿½eba jeï¿½tï¿½ neni vï¿½em dnï¿½m konec a jednoho dne se vratï¿½ a bude silnï¿½jï¿½ï¿½ neï¿½ kdy jindy pï¿½edtï¿½m ... Vï¿½echno to zaï¿½alo uï¿½ nï¿½kdy okolo roku 1982. Skupina designerï¿½ poï¿½ï¿½taï¿½ï¿½ si dala za ï¿½kol udï¿½lat nejlepï¿½ï¿½ hernï¿½ poï¿½ï¿½taï¿½ (konzole). Byli to Jay Miner (dï¿½lal uï¿½ v Atari na VCS systï¿½mech), Dave Morse (z Tonka Toys) a RJ Mical. Pojmenovali se HiTorro. Hodnï¿½ systï¿½mu v tï¿½ dobï¿½ mï¿½lo stejnï¿½ chipy, proto kdyï¿½ chtï¿½li pï¿½ijï¿½t s nï¿½ï¿½im opravdu novï¿½m a super, museli zaï¿½ï¿½t ï¿½plnï¿½ od zaï¿½ï¿½tku. Zaï¿½lo se tedy pracovat. Bï¿½hem pracï¿½ na novï¿½m systï¿½mu se dodrï¿½ovali nejvyï¿½ï¿½ï¿½ moï¿½nï¿½ zpï¿½soby utajenï¿½, samy nï¿½vrhï¿½ï¿½i, kdyï¿½ se o systï¿½mu bavili do telefonu pouï¿½ï¿½vali kï¿½dovï¿½ho oznaï¿½enï¿½. Pro systï¿½m byl vymyï¿½len nï¿½zev Lorraine, ale uvnitï¿½ firmy se mu ï¿½ikalo AMIGA. ï¿½panï¿½lsky AMIGA znamenï¿½ pï¿½ï¿½telkynï¿½ (girlfriend). A pracovalo se. Vï¿½sledkem byli tï¿½i samostatnï¿½ chipy pojmenovanï¿½ Paula, Agnus a Denise. Ten, kdo znï¿½ trochu Amigu, uï¿½ vï¿½ o co jde. Pro ty ostatnï¿½, kteï¿½ï¿½ nevï¿½, aspoï¿½ ve zkratce. Jde o jakï¿½si "coprocesory", kteï¿½ï¿½ zpracovï¿½vali grafiku, zvuk a dalï¿½ï¿½ bez zï¿½sahu CPU, tudï¿½ ho nezamï¿½stnï¿½vali, coï¿½ celkovï¿½ hodnï¿½ zvyï¿½ovalo vï¿½kon. CPU byl pak, dalo by se ï¿½ï¿½ct, jen takovï¿½ "organizï¿½tor". "Killer game machine" byla skoro hotovï¿½, nemï¿½la ï¿½ï¿½dnou klï¿½vesnici a dalï¿½ï¿½ "zbyteï¿½nosti" okolo. Commodore tedy udï¿½lal svï¿½j prvnï¿½ 16ti bit, poï¿½ï¿½taï¿½ Commodore AMIGA 1000. Pï¿½edstavil ho opï¿½t na Consumer Electronics Show (CES) a bylo to v roce 1985. A1000 mï¿½la vzhled jako klasickï¿½ PC, tedy samostatnï¿½ case, oddï¿½lenou klavesnici, myï¿½ a charakter spï¿½e pracovnï¿½ stanice. Byla to babka vï¿½ech Amiga systï¿½mï¿½. Prodï¿½vala se dobï¿½e.
Pak firma Atari v roce 1987 vypustila svï¿½j model ST a vyvinula tak tlak na firmu Commodore, aby uï¿½ taky vypustila 16ti bitovï¿½ klasickï¿½ domï¿½cï¿½ poï¿½ï¿½taï¿½, jestliï¿½e nechce bï¿½t aï¿½ druhï¿½. Mezi tï¿½mito firmami byla vï¿½dycky obrovskï¿½ konkurence, kterï¿½ chvï¿½lema dosahovala aï¿½ k nenï¿½visti. Proto firma Commodore udï¿½lala dvojici Amiga 500/Amiga 2000. Amiga 500 byl klasickï¿½ "home computer". Vzhled klasickï¿½ "domï¿½cï¿½ placky". Nastalo nï¿½kolik vylepï¿½enï¿½ oproti A1000, zvï¿½tï¿½ila se pamï¿½, udï¿½lala se novï¿½ verze OS  KickStart 1.3. A2000 byla totoï¿½nï¿½ s A500, mï¿½la ale vzhled jako klasickï¿½ PC a nï¿½jakï¿½ vï¿½ci navï¿½c (sada expansion Zorro slots, SCSI interface a HD byl standartnï¿½ v dodï¿½vce), 1MB RAM a opï¿½t charakter spï¿½e pracovnï¿½ stanice neï¿½ domï¿½cï¿½ho poï¿½ï¿½taï¿½e. O poï¿½ï¿½taï¿½e Amiga (hlavnï¿½ teda Amigu 500) byl nevï¿½danï¿½ zï¿½jem. Za celou dobu se jich prodalo nï¿½kolik milionï¿½ kusï¿½ a stali se legendou. Mï¿½li fantastickï¿½ zpracovï¿½nï¿½ obrazu a zvuku, kterï¿½ bylo na tehdejï¿½ï¿½ dobu nevï¿½danï¿½. Sï¿½m sem Amigu 500 mï¿½l a byl to skvï¿½lï¿½ poï¿½ï¿½taï¿½. Nynï¿½ jsem pï¿½esedlal uï¿½ na PCMicro$oftIntel sestavu, ale i tak rï¿½d obï¿½as nastartuju emulï¿½tor Amigy a zavzpomï¿½nï¿½m u Beasta nebo Turricana. A to co umï¿½l Amiga WorkBench ... Bill Gates by se mï¿½l uï¿½it. No nic, uï¿½ je to vï¿½echno pryï¿½, i kdyï¿½, podle poslednï¿½ch zprï¿½v takï¿½ tï¿½eba ne.
